It's going to take time to drive down the prices. When SanDisk/Toshiba get to a .13 process on 300 mm wafers, variable cost may be cut in half from today's cost. Volume increases will reduce the impact of fixed costs. My WAG is that Christmas season 2002 will see a dramatic reduction in the cost/selling price of flash cards, maybe to 1/3 of today's prices.
