>>Look, I get it. You're convinced we have no need for traditional medicine because it is all about how we eat.<<
no. i think what we need could be cut in half, though. maybe half again.
maybe that's why there is no *real* effort to get the word out. half as many doctors means half as many software programs to sell and maintain.
my friend unnecessarily spent $20k out of her own pocket. and they wanted another $20k... hmmmmm....
when less than $40 worth of food and 36 hours did what the best in medical science could not do in half a decade. food designed to control her body's hormonal response and minimize dietary driven cellular inflammation.
>>I have pointed out on this thread numerous times that a massive portion of American's health problems stem from our lifestyles. I don't know how I could have been clearer.<<
a lifestyle promoted by most doctors. the high carb low fat crap is literally killing people. it is very pro-inflammatory and cellular inflammation kills. this is why aspirin is the best drug to prevent heart disease.
>>So, you want to argue about something we apparently don't disagree on.<<
no, i want to argue the point that a typical medical doctor knows why obesity and chronic disease are linked to go toward my point that doctors don't much about diet and what most know are wrong.
>>The only real difference here is I don't know of a single physician, anywhere, who doesn't comprehend the adverse consequences of obesity when it comes to our health.<<
some people are fat and extremely healthy. manuel uribe is about 800 lbs, down from 1234, and i'll bet he has better blood work than your physician.
the question remains, does your doctor know why? if not, then the medical system has a gaping hole in it.
>>They all know it.<<
they know there is a strong correlation.
i contend that's all the typical doctor knows. what he doesn't know is why. what he doesn't know is the right diet to maximize wellness and to control hunger - you know the REQUIREMENTS for being well in the first place.
>>Any family practice doc can tell you that and can tell you why.<<
i disagree. ask your doctor to explain exactly why obesity and chronic disease are so closely correlated and get back with us. i'm curious as to his answer. i bet it is something along the lines of, "we don't know for sure."
we shall see, no?
>>And any physician has a reasonably good understanding of the rationale.<<
again, prove it with some evidence. as it stands, you are making this up without a single shred of evidence.
>>But docs also have to treat what they can affect.<<
the current typical dietary recommendation promote disease. i think doctors that affect what they promote as a diet and make sure it is the right one.
high carb, low fat diets are incredibly unhealthy and drive hunger.
that's a good second question for you doctor.
"why do high carb, low fat diets drive hunger and why is a diet that will increase hungry dramatically recommended to lose weight."
you do know that permanent weight loss almost never happens based on the typical diet recommended by typical doctors, right?
alumni.berkeley.edu
"We've been trying to make people skinny for years, and it's never worked. America has the biggest diet industry in the world. Yet any person who has dieted repeatedly knows that you lose twenty pounds and it comes back as twenty-five. It's a cycle of yo-yos. Over the long haul, 95 percent of diets fail miserably."
why? they are on the wrong diet - a diet that literally instructs your body to store fat, drop blood sugar, drive hunger and increase cellular inflammation.
no wonder 95% of these diets fail.
watch manuel uribe - he's on the right diet and he's on his way to setting the world record in human weight loss within the next 4 or 5 years. 1234 lbs down to about 250 lbs.
oh, and his blood work is almost assuredly better than your doctor's blood work - even at ~800 lbs. |
