Newstar recently (Jan 17, 1997) announced the competition of a private placement whereby they raised $15 million and I hear it was oversubscribed by $600,000. The announcement goes on further to suggest another acquisition is in the works. Since Newstar didn't need any cash to complete any current projects, ergo, something big is in the works. The under the lake project for L. Michigan and L. Huron (Saginaw region) will commence in February. Success in these two plays will make this a cheap stock at $4.50.
