From PC Week:July 22, 1996 Ingram Micro Inc. has filed for an initial public offering of 20 million shares of common stock. The Santa Ana, Calif., company did not set a possible range for the shares but announced a maximum value at $14 a share, which would garner $280 million for the computer distributor. A date for the offering will not be set until the registration is reviewed by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Ingram Micro's spinoff from parent company Ingram Industries Inc. has been completed.
