Three holes from phase one of the 1997 drill program on the Copper Prince
property in Sudbury, Ontario have been completed. The objective of this
phase of drilling is to follow the stringers intersected in holes drilled
last year in order to establish deeper drilling targets, as detailed in the
press release in Stockwatch September 29 1997.
Drilling to depths of up to 1,000 ft has intersected 20 stringers, ranging
up to 3.57 ft, of pyrite-chalcopyrite in shears and fractures penetrating
the quartzite host rock.
Rainbow's geologist, Mr Joseph Church states that intersecting these
stringers at this depth has fulfilled Rainbow's objective for this stage of
the drill program on the west side of the property, and the company is
moving forward with electromagnetic surveys to establish deeper drilling
targets.
Mr Church states further that similar holes are being drilled on other
parts of the property to confirm continuity of the structure and follow the
stringers intersected in Rainbow's 1996 drill program.
Drill core from holes CP97-13, CP97-14 and CP97-15, have been logged, split
and sent to the lab for assaying. Results will be reported as they are
received.
