Favorable article discusses acquisition of Groupe Alma for cash & stock, as the start of planned international expansion through acquisition. Says the acquisition will be funded through an offering of 4.4 million shares, priced at $21 each. Of those, 2.4 million will be sold by shareholders, according to the article.
Says plans are underway to break into financial services, transportation, lodging and gaming. Says got a contract to audit $7.5 billion in payables for Department of Defense.
Says an emerging market is electronic commerce, under the expectation that as companies become more dependent upon electronic billing, errors are replicated automatically.
An enterprise I've recently added to my list of Collection companies to watch. This is an area which has room for much consolidation, and in which old, sleepy giants (e.g. D&B) have much fat.
