In the book, "Buffettology", there is a detailed analysis of why Warren Buffett bought Freddie Mac and at what price he bought it etc. Pretty much the same analysis can be applied to Freddie's "twin sister" Fannie too.

I hope to be a Fannie Mae investor the next time Greenspan decides to give the economy a "flu shot" by pegging interest rates up by 25 or 50 basis points.
