I start noticing Shiva a few weeks ago from the "insider trading
activity" article in WSJ. The company seems to be profitable and
growing. However, there are many strikes against it: changes
in the industry that seem to favor the big boys (e.g., Bay, Cisco, 3COM),
insider selling, present overly-optimistic valuation, and the volatile climate for tech stock in general.

I am planning to take a closer look at Shiva in the near future. A
couple of possible subjects to follow-up on: do they have new products
to support ISDN and what are the general valuation in the LAN remote
access industry.

For now, I am looking at Shiva as possible short stock
or even long put candidate.
