Fotoball USA sees Q4 results similar to Q3
SAN DIEGO, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Fotoball USA, Inc. (Nasdaq:FUSA - news), a designer and marketer of custom sports products, reported third quarter earnings of $144,000 and said it expects to report similar results in the fourth quarter.
The company said it had quarterly profits of $0.05 a share compared to a net loss of $865,000, or $0.32 per share, for the corresponding prior year period. Sales for the three months climbed 78 percent to $4.6 million from $2.6 million for the same period in 1997.
The $2.05 million increase in sales was due to a corresponding increase in retail sales, primarily from baseball-related sales, up 90 percent, and football-related sales, which grew by 240 percent.
The company said in a release that given its current retail and promotional sales backlog, it expects fourth quarter 1998 results should be similar to the sales and earnings realized during the third quarter. |
