I'm interested in hearing about the wits and cleverness employed by people to win a mate where the potential mate had more than one suitor. I agree that the tying up of loose ends is especially important before being open to new horizons. It allows the soul to heal. The war that I speak of is not between two in an ongoing relationship, but the war between two or more suitors in pursuit of another.

Your Korean saying is similar to a saying I have: A kid is like running water - you can't catch it in your hand but you can guide it.
