As I have accumulated what to me look
like very cheap third tier biotech stocks,
I've also been trying to put together a
shopping list of issues which are, perhaps,
a little less risky if not quite cheap as
the micros I own.

I thought I'd share that list with the thread,
and if anybody sees something that he does not
feel is "cheap", speak up. I'd like to have the
list refined by the time the market cracks later
this year, so I can buy a few of these to add to
my microcaps.

As far as any technique I use to value these, well
my method is this: I read everything I see on
the biotech threads, all the PR which comes out
from a company, I check out recap for the trials and
then...if months go by and the symbol keeps popping
back in my head, I add it to my list. I think the
advantage of this system is that it uses both logic
and intuition, heheh.

Alexion, ALXN
Axys, AXPH
Chiron, CHIR
Enzon, ENZN
Incyte, INCY
Millennium, MLNM
Regeneron, REGN
Sepracor, SEPR
Vertex, VRTX

Most of these have marketcaps between 100M and 1B,
except for Sepracor and Chiron, which I suppose are
first tier...but you have to like their valuations
too. No Amgen and Biogen for me, too rich!
