Palladium - I'm not sure how much you know about the industry, but I'd be interested in discussing Palladium prices. It has been by far the hottest metal for over 2 years - when the first realizations hit that Russia was too cash strapped to mine the stuff at expected paces. Plus, there was a ruckus over the rights to the land where most of the Palladium is mined. Since Russia is king in the Palladium market, any bad news out of Russia usually leads to a rise in Palladium futures. As a background, the metal's high demand can be attributed to the automotive and electronics industries, where the stuff is used in everything from catalytic converters to circuit boards. Hedge fund kingpin Julian Robertson is said to have a huge long position in Palladium..... and rightfully so, as one reads the headline every now & then 'Palladium futures soar amid Russian supply concerns'. I have read that same headline over and over again every few months for 2 years now. Here is a chart:

If you can't long Palladium futures, you can long SWC (Stillwater Mining) or short AVX (AVX Corp.).
Stillwater is the largest Palladium producer, and AVX manufactures products using Palladium as a raw material, so both are very sensitive to its price.
