I lived in London for a year, perhaps you will find this interesting.

Britain has a system of FREE internet access they just started. I believe AOL exists over there (well, actually, I know it does because it is advertised in the London underground (subway)) but users can get free internet access without paying AOL for the service, so it is rather different.

Also, right now, the internet is still not widely used because many places charge access fees. In Europe, you pay by the minute for local access - i.e. 10 cents a minute even if you call next door. Thus, people cant practically use the net for 4 hours at a time as can be done here.

As for this company, I am not real sure I will have to look into it more.
