Based on a recent article in PC Online, Microsoft has made a commitment to XML and will incorporate it throughout its product line. As well Tod Nielson (VP Hewlett-Packacd) said the momentum in the industry behind XML will drive the technology to the No. 1 spot in importance on the internet. Given the importance to the internet of this explosive technology, Softquad, which has the premier XML product in the marketplace, is in an excellant position to capture the lion's share of this explosive XML market. With it's 35% share in Softquad, Pinetree and it's shareholders seem well positioned to benefit from this investment.
