#2 When the market sells off for a few days then suddenly goes up again, it is just people buying to cover their shorts. the market may go down lower still. Buy only strong companies that have hit a temporary low due to the selloff in general. Make it a point to follow your favorite companies price fluctuations. You will know when to jump in. #3 There is usually a big selloff about 1=2 weeks before a long holiday weekend. You will be able to go bargain hunting if you have cash on hand. This also tends to happen when Geenspan speaks.
