i'm just too cynical in my old age.....there's too much legal money tied up in the war on drugs to stop it easily anymore....all those construction jobs building the prisons.....prison guards get something like $70,000/year with a very strong union....judges...lawyers....local cops....all these bastards are going to fight tooth an nail to keep the prison population growing so that they can keep their jobs.....pretty sick ....but pretty real.........redwood
