Jim, no one knows the future of course, but my pulse says the odds are the PM's will not really go anywhere until we have a "big" event that will trigger them. Many of us suspect the market is being rigged at this time, altho Greenspan recently denied this of course. Short term few make money. If I were starting now in PM's I would dollar average into the big stocks i.e. Barrick, Newmont, maybe Placer. Call it insurance, and many of us have been paying for that insurance since 1980. I started buying gold in 1959 when I bot Dome Mines (Now Placer Dome). That's the truth as I am 74 and have a lot of gold dust on my hands. This is all IMHO of course and each of us must invest as we are comfortable doing recognizing risk is always with us.
