I've travelled Costa Rica extensively.

1) How long are you going for?
2) If you go all inclusive, you're tied down to your destination area...meals included. It precludes moving around much and that will deny you of seeing much.
3) What are your main interests?
4) How liberal is or isn't your travel budget?
5) Are you travelling with your wife or ?
6) Are you young, middle aged or older?
7) Are you outgoing or shy?
8) Do you speak any Spanish?

Perhaps we can banter this around over the next two days. I am probably able to help quite a bit.
