I often wonder if we will ever bioengineer ourselves out of existence.

Will the unnatural changes that we make in food crops eventually come full circle and and create problems we never even thought of?

Are we changing our ecosystems and building nonreversible new ones?

Or are we actually doing something good?

This shall be a long and bitter debate for years to come.

...I think I'll contemplate this over a bowl of super fortified cornflakes made from human engineered corn.
Perhaps it will help me think better... <vbg>
