Weak market entrants never win big contracts. they slide in sideways and go unnoticed until the unit shipments start to show. Many IT buyers prefer the underdog and throw them bones. after the product performs then they use their bids to lower the big guys street price. dropping margin for big guys and raising revenue exponentially for the little guys like Avici. watch what steve ballmer does in the free routing space. use us patent office to track patents in the switching routing space over the last 3 weeks please.
