Document Security Systems, Inc. Retains Renowned Serialization and RFID Expert
Gary Andrechak

Former RFID Product Manager for the Security Solutions Group of Hitachi America,
Ltd. joins Document Security Systems, Inc.

ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 10, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Document Security
Systems, Inc. (DMC) ("DSS"), a leader in counterfeit prevention, product
diversion and brand protection technologies today announced that RFID and mass
product serialization expert, Gary Andrechak has joined DSS as Manager of RFID
Business Development. Mr. Andrechak will work out of the DSS Plastics Division
("P3") facility located in Brisbane, California.

Prior to joining DSS, Mr. Andrechak was RFID Product Manager for the Security
Solutions Group of Hitachi America, Ltd., focusing on developing and
commercialization practical end-to-end applications for "Hitachi Mu-Chip",
Hitachi's radio frequency identification (RFID) technology designed as a mass
serialization and authentication inclusion for item level tracking (ILT). Gary's
work at Hitachi America led to his product development, sales, and implementation
experience in applying RFID-based authentication technologies to single-use
medical and surgical items that must withstand harsh environments including
gamma-ray sterilization and high temperatures. Prior to his work in RFID, Gary
innovated ways of analyzing and deriving added-value from item level, retail
sales tracking market research for the consumer packaged goods industry at
Towne-Oller & Associates in New York, NY, then a subsidiary of Information
Resources, Inc., of Chicago, IL. During this period, he was appointed primary
content liaison with the Wall Street Journal's "MarketScan" feature column.
Andrechak co-authored a book published by the Mullaney Publishing Group LLP in
June 2007 entitled, "RFID: Item Level Management: A Practical Approach." Gary
received his B.S. from Manhattan College, NY with dual majors in Marketing and
Computer Information Systems.

CEO Patrick White commented, "The hiring of Gary Andrechak is a real win for DSS
as he brings with him significant relationships with many major Silicon Valley
and multi-national companies. Through Gary, DSS has already delivered a first
order from one of the Valley's leading consumer companies and he has scheduled
several meetings with other well-known technology companies for item level RFID
projects. Gary is also spearheading the development of new RFID applications and
products for our recently acquired cloud computing division Extradev, Inc."

"To compliment our on-going relationship with RFID chip maker, Alien
Technologies, DSS has brought on an expert," stated Jaeson Caulley, Vice
President of P3. "Having Gary join the company as a key member of our business
development team confirms DSS's continuing commitment to engineering a superior
RFID Track-and-Trace system that has new, effective capabilities to achieve
complete supply-chain control and accountability using DSS serialization systems
and solutions for all manufactured products and packaging."
