Thanks for contributing to the thread. I notice on the dividend thread your complaint that no-one provides details of his option selling activities. This posting intends to supply that want.

Early in April, I decided::

1. Although all my calls would remain "covered", I would divorce the calls from the underlying stock in my mind,

2. By selecting the strike price immediately above the current price, I would ensure that all stock trades would be "profitable" without consideration of the call premium. The entire call premium is therefore to be considered "INCOME"

3. The term of the call would be no greater than 30 days, thus ensuring fast erosion of the premium.

Unfortunately the formatting symbols no longer work as they did. but this list shows a total income of over $7,000. Dividends received in the same period amounted to something less than $2,000. Nine calls were in-the-money and were exercised on the expiry date. Usually the stock was repurchased and a new call written. The rest expired worthless
