Dennis, ROS is not as well run as VIP from what I was told by people in Russia who are in the investment community there. This is why VIP's stock price hasn't deterioted as much as the other Russian stocks. Rostelcom has the upside, but as you can see it has a greater downside too. I don't know too much about co. specifics and people like TSC know way more than I do. Global markets like Russia are hard to play short term. The media always hypes negative stories which scares investors quickly. I like buying stocks on bad news. If it runs up quickly then I might consider selling, but I wouldn't buy anticipating a quick runup. Long term for me is over 3 years and I don't have an exit price on this stock. The prices at these levels just interest me. My favorite is Lukoil, huge reserves and well run. I've had friends who ask me about Russian equities and my recommendation usually to them is to buy a Russian mutual fund. shust I'll try and PM you about the universal express stock.
