Optical Cable announces NASDAQ vs NYSE Response

Goldman, Sachs & Co. Relationship; Conference Overview

Optical Cable Corporation (NASDAQ:OCCF) announced today that shareholders overwhelmingly responded in favor of moving to the NYSE.

Therefore, we are taking the next step and shall be looking into the review process at the NYSE. All the officers of the Company toured the NYSE
yesterday, hosted by Mr. Tom Moore.

While in New York, the Company had the opportunity to visit with many departments at Goldman, Sachs & Co. After talking with several investment
type bankers over the past six months, it is our decision to enlist the services of Goldman, Sachs & Co. When you believe that you are the best at
what you do, you select the very best for advice and support.

Several analysts attending The Wall Street Forum are very interested in learning more about the Company and potentially writing research reports.
We view it as very important to pick up several analysts that can understand and relay the key information on to our investment community. At the
conference, several institutional groups asked us what we thought about our high P/E ratio. Robert Kopstein responded by stating that Planet
Hollywood, along with hundreds of other companies, is currently at a significantly higher P/E and asked the question as to who has a brighter future.
"High P/E ratios are given to companies that are growing rapidly and even more so to companies that are in a field that is still on the tip of the iceberg,"
said Robert Kopstein.
