SumTotal 9:27 AM EDT August 29, 2006 Brean Murray initiates Accumulate. Target $8. Brean Murray initiates SUMT with an Accumulate and an $8 tgt saying the co is benefiting from the rising demand for L.M.S systems. THe firm says the co represent a compelling investment opportunity into the human capital management space. However, they believe the recent shelf offering creates an overhang for SUMT. In addition, they believe the co may have to step up its expansion into other H.C.M segments, which may result in a dilutive acquisition.
