Husky Oil and Partners Extend the 1999 Drilling Program at the White Rose Field
ST. JOHN'S, NFLD, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Husky Oil and its joint-venture partners announced that they have extended the 1999 White Rose delineation program following the drilling of the second successful appraisal well, A-17. The Bill Shoemaker Rig will now drill the N-30 well located about 7.5 km north-northwest of A-17 in the White Rose field. The Husky operated White Rose field is located approximately 350 km off the East Coast of Newfoundland and about 50 km east of the Hibernia field. The working interest owners are: Husky Oil 71.2%; Petro-Canada 17.5%; Norsk Hydro Canada Oil and Gas 7.5%; and Denison Mines 3.8%. Husky Oil Limited is a Canadian-based privately held integrated oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The company's operations include the exploration for and development of crude oil and natural gas, as well as the production, purchase, transportation, upgrading, refining and marketing of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, sulphur and petroleum coke, and the marketing of refined petroleum products, including gasoline, alternative fuels and asphalt.
