Anzex's Longwood Range project was unsuccessfully shopped around Australia before finally being backed in Vancouver. Australian analysts "didn't understand" the project (Australia's PayDirt, 1(38), April 98). And "Canadians who have observed Anzex's rise, which at this stage appears based on good promotion and geology rather than fresh tangible exploration results, have shown an interest in other properties."
"While respected New Zealand geologist Russell Bluck may have stepped back from the Anzex quest, the local fraternity of geoscientists is pleased that Prof. Anthony Naldrett is on the board" (Northern Miner, 84(29), 14-2 Sept 98).
In my opinion the delay in releasing the drill results, and the opposition to Naldrett's access to the property, reflect not only problems within the company but very likely a lack of economic potential in the property. |
