You're right; the top was off- -at JFK's insistence. He wanted the crowd to have a clear view of him. The Secret Service policy was that it be on the car; he overruled them. Another example of reckless, stupid behaviour by the Kennedy clan. << was the last President who actually work for the people of this country. >> So just what was this spoiled grandstanding brat did for me????
