Two dead in Louisiana from carbon monoxide poisoning from generator By ASSOCIATED PRESS September, 3, 2008 MOSS BLUFF, La. - Sheriff Tony Mancuso says an eight-year veteran with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office is dead from carbon monoxide poisoning created by a generator. Mancuso says 27-year-old Eric Bellard and his father, Dannis, were found dead Tuesday in Moss Bluff. Eric Bellard was the 2007 Deputy of the Year for the Enforcement Division and a member of the Crisis Intervention Team. Calcasieu Deputy Coroner Zeb Johnson says the Bellards' deaths were directly related to the storm because they were using a generator.
