Here's a puzzle. While I never had the guts to buy stock in this company, I have been a big fan of WP for years. I even laid out $240 or whatever top dollar was for WP 7.0 last year. I was a good scout and even sent in my registration card -- at the risk of pissing off the postman with all the junk mail. So why did I only learn here on SI that WP 8.0 is now out? The company sent me no updated word -- perfect(ly) weird, right? A single shot doesn't win the battle and one anecdote doesn't prove anything about Corel's marketing and sales acumen, but still it is a mystery: Here I am, a perfect Word Perfect fan, ready to spring for every update yet the company never contacts me. Kinda makes me glad I didn't invest the $240 in stock, let me tell you.
