>>> Yes, I will grant you that it has very little commercial viability TODAY, but those of us who are long on BLD are betting upon its viability in the next 5-8 years or so (and not just in automotive applications). <<<

Fuel cells are a niche market cause there are only currently used in specific appliactions. Computers were once a niche market too.
Every innovation was once called a niche market due to initial high
prices. It will probably take at least 30 years before prices come
down so everyone will have a Fuel Cell like everyone uses batteries.
Then maybe Gillette will invest in Fuel cells and manufacture Duracell Fuel Cells.

Alternate fuel vehciles are not in wide use despite being available
in one form or another for over 15 years. Its still a niche market.
Same as Electric vehicles.

>> And yes, I use the term BET, since we may be wrong and lose a little or a lot of money. However, to describe BLDs POTENTIAL market as "niche" is misguided. <<<

More people prefer to ride Bicycles than feed and take care of Horses. Lots of Bike routes going up all over. The population explosion cause a reduction in available farm land and riding areas.
Also Laws prevent people from owning Farm animals in the City.
Although the Police still use horses when patroling the Parks.

>>New technical innovations/revolutions must begin somewhere. Just curious, how many people ride horses to work where you live?<<<
