Shrub lost California AWA most of the "left coast"<g> in a big way, in the 2000 election. Be amazed if even one out of five west coast union members voted for him, then!

Ohio was about the only mid-West industrial state, that went his way, though several others were very close.

OTOH, Gore lost his "home" state of Tennessee as well as others he should have won.

Closest election since Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876. But that one had to be decided in the U.S. House of Representatives.
