Hi GM, You are correct to note that IBM has relaxed a bit and Bob Scranton's roadmap charts are famous now. If you know him you might try Finn Jorgenson re: theoretical limits, or call Frank Talke at the U.C.S.D. Center for Magnetic Recording Research. However, from what I recall the limits are a much debated topic, and IEEE carries an article now and then. The limits I have seen discussed are orders of magnitude higher then the most recent achievements by IBM (which are stunning nontheless). Best, Stitch
