Yahoo uses non-adjusted data. I use Valueline data. Valuline normalises the data and in the case of its JDSU earnings data, it states, "excludes nonrecurring losses and amortization of purchased intangibles." I.e., the data excludes the "good will" JDSU has amortised and hence, gives a reasonable--perhaps 'truer'--picture of what it actually earns on its operation.

Just about all big city libraries and many medium and small town libraries carry Valueline.

For what it's worth, the p/e of 20 to which I refer is 'current year's earnings' (trailing 4 quarters) not forward-looking which would be even lower.
