Ben --- The Institutional / Fund Holdings info you quoted earlier was from Stocksmart. This is a terrific site, and that data was useful ---but note that the institutional data is now a YEAR out of date! A while back, I emailed Stocksmart to inquire about the situation. On March 27 they emailed me the following answer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Smart had a contract for the data you refer to for $30,000 annually. After the vendor determined that competition from Stock Smart was harming their sales, they servered the contract, and raised the price to $60,000 per year. They also put in some restrictions on making more than a limited amount of information available.
As their data was often in error anyway, and we considered their price and terms unattractive, we are switching to an alternate source.
We are sorry for the delay, but will soon be implementing a far superior service with respect to shareholder data for companies, and mutual funds.
Thank you for your interest in our site and hope enjoy the rest of our service while we continue to better our product ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's been over 2 months since this reply. Hopefully, this feature will be back soon.
As to SYSF ---- those of us "positives" who jumped the gun and entered SYSF when it/SysWiz was valued unrealistically, definitely have our "negative" moments.
I'm still long, and wishing I had bailed out when it was 16 and 13, just before the last two quarter reports. There are better things I could do with the money at this time. I've paid my tuition, and am not such a greenhorn any more.
