Just from outside lounge chair where I just read the Tuesday(8/31) Business Day of the NYT,and they have a feature article called "Prosperity and Counting" and it is I believe a must read---without touching on the details they make a strong case that the fed attitude regards a burst bubble is "Let IT Happen",it is inevitable,but to set their strategy into all the action to be done AFTER the burst
to get stabilized and back on course---and to avoid what
was Japan's policy's post bubble bust that led to a prolonged recession--TJ,I freely admit I hoping for the market and especially the AMZNs to get in one last crazy run
while I plan a puts strategy---the author's are Louis Uchitelle(written in Jackson Hole,Wyoming) and also a Richard Oppel jr.---BTW do you know Greenspan is protected by the secret service because they are worrying some fruitcake will kill him thinking he is the enemy of the Bull Market--and on reading a few hate posts arising these days on SI regards Greenspan,I can understand their fear.
I loved to see the stats today on who is buying and who is selling.
Max PS the single biggest trap today would be to get into a "it is never going to stop" mode.
I now see myself as a speculator:) I am really calling my own decision on this--it is my speculation,my decision,my evaluation---by the end of the year I will see if I am any good at it(LOL!) BTW IF this rally within the next week fails to take the DOW to 11400---trouble I feel is much closer than we think--it would tell me smart money is selling into the rally and dampering it.
