Terri:. a good "text book" explanation of stock prices v options ?

Could there be another reason why stock prices fluctuate at their option expirations ? Possibly real world "manipulation" ?

Consider IBM dropped to 99 on Friday and closed at over 104 Monday after a distinguished brokerage published this early Friday "news" :

techstocks.com

Robertson ,Stephen's news release is not sinister but a nervous market bought it . In most expiration situations the text book version prevails .

At least I hope so , but then I also believed in the Easter Bunny .

Regards, Jim K.
