It's rumored that before he died Rasputin left behind some little gifts from heaven, so perhaps you're on to something here. I do think the source is reliable. Whether he/she is a child of nature or child of God I couldn't say. And whether the nickname of his illustrious ancestor has clung to him is something we'll never know. But you know, there's a putative Russion on this thread named Nick Stalin. He's named Nick; is that the nick name you're suggesting? He seems to be a fine fellow, but he's not my source.
