Ike people have to sell short once in awhile, or buy puts too...hey there's money to be made both ways....especially in a trending market going DOWN!!!
of course, we are all basically "right way bettors"...we naturally vote for the long side of the trade...who the heck wants to be negative!!!!
as the perenial optimist, i always see the glass 1/2 full, never half empty....
In the face of these highly volitile markets, the world looking a little shaky right now, and with people losing large amounts of money sitting on their hands not knowing what to do, it troubles me to see this...if it happened to me & you, can you just imagine what's happening to others IKE??????
now folks don't get crazy<g>...i'm not putting myself above anyone...I've just been there and done that for about 25 years...i do have some history with the markets....i've made and lost a lot of money...i just lost large sums this year....i'm still in cash, and feeling very calm & happy....that's not say I won;t plunge on TUES!!!>>>>:>}
i've recently said this out loud, quote" if you look at your portfolio, or bank account, and see that it's fallen 50%++++ since the first of the year, you need to take a step back and contemplate what your going to do now"....unquote...
there are NO guarantees out there about THIS markets direction...
read the article in the Sunday New York Times Business section, page 13 I think buy Mark Hulbert and the DOW Theory....interesting article, very interesting....
Anyway IKE, we all want to be making money, 98% of all traders here on SI are NOT as nimble as you...I said it before, and I will again<ggg>.., KISS-------------KISS--------------KISS......:>}
I can;t trade any other way, not in these markets......to each his own of course...but boy this is one crazy market....
