Pretty good point. The wealthy are generally business owners or upper mangement and benefit from public resources on an exponential scale compared to an individual with a job.

The tax code needs to be simplified for a certainty. The reason we have such a messy labrynthe of taxation is because the politicians don't have the balls to just come out and raise taxes when they want to do something stupid. They have to come up with bizarre round about ways to expand their influence so that few people notice. If they had to involve everyone whenever they wanted to create some bs program they know they would get shot down. In a democracy people should know how and why they are being taxed without the need for a phd.
