I am about to open a Roth IRA for my son and one for my daughter. I have been using Schwab for my IRA. Schwab will not allow online trades for Roth IRAs. Can anyone give me some insight on this--is this the result of a regulation, or do other online brokers allow trades in Roth accounts? Yes, they lied to you. My wife and I both have Roth IRAs at Schwab and we can trade online. I know nothing more about it than that.
