"But Kerry has a VERY LONG Senate record of voting against defense spending at every turn." No he doesn't. Yes, there are a few exceptions. In particular, anything that was nuclear related. Or SDI. But his record, for the most part, was pro-military. And even those things he voted against, there were a number of Republicans that voted with him. So it wasn't even a party thing.
