Robin Williams and Billy Crystal, two of America's funniest people, star together for the first time in a film directed by Ivan Reitman. "Fathers' Day," "the mother of all comedy events,"/c comes to video Sept. 9 from Warner Home Video, A Time Warner Entertainment Co. Two childless strangers, Jack (Crystal) and Dale (Williams) find themselves partnered in the search for a runaway teenager after their former girlfriend tells them that each may have fathered the boy 16 years ago. In the process, the two men nearly drive each other crazy as they come face to face with the elusive meaning of fatherhood. Williams first dazzled audiences when he landed the starring role in the hit TV series "Mork and Mindy." Since then, Williams has earned two Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and has made several hit movies such as "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "The Birdcage." Crystal has found success as a performer, writer, director and producer. He has starred in the films "When Harry Met Sally," "City Slickers" and "City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold," which he also created and produced. Co-starring in "Fathers' Day" are Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Seinfeld") and Nastassja Kinski ("Tess," "Terminal Velocity"). "Fathers' Day," a Silver Pictures Production in association with Northern Lights Entertainment, is distributed by Warner Bros., has a 99-minute running time and an MPAA rating of "PG-13." "Fathers' Day" is closed-captioned for the hearing impaired (Catalogue No.15386). The DVD will be available Sept. 9 at $24.98 and a Widescreen Laserdisc will be out this fall in AC-3 Digital Surround, both Catalogue No.15386.
