DScottD, I am pleased to hear that Steak 'n Shake is alive and well and prospering. I'd all but forgotten their excellent chili served with honest-to-goodness oyster crackers and in crockery. Back in the days of yore, there were only two or three Steak 'n Shakes in the immediate vicinity, but 44? Wow! That IS heartening. But, please, tell me they've done something about what they tried to pass off as french fries. They were perfectly awful! It was their one failure, and glaring one at that. BTW, is Miss Hullings' still around? That was always my fave when I was downtown. There were only two of them, both downtown. I never heard of Crown Candy Kitchen. It must be new, or at least new since I was last there. Holly
