I live presently in what used to be the Canadian Fruitbelt. Almost all of the orchards are gone. Food price rises will hit even small town consumers, because all of the gardens that existed when I was young are now grassed over, and most Canadians under 40 never knew the horrors of gardening and canning, or the delights of eating all that "Free Food" The area that used to feed the City of Toronto and much of Northern Ontario is now Suburbs, and our canned food now comes from China....... Hmmmmm oil is going up, and Canadians import most of their food. Sounds like a plan
