Yes, it's very tough to figure. The focus group spin line "Bush is an isolationist" must get some mileage somewhere. Otherwise, they wouldn't use it. What's interesting is he obtained that label (I suppose), because he came out against the Kyoto Protocols. Which even former Clinton aids finally admitted was horribly flawed. Leaders who go out on a limb and call a spade-a-spade sometimes get nicked for things like that. Most thoughtful people can see through the malarky though. Remember the Kyoto debates here? I've rarely seen such a one sided debate on SI before. The pro Kyoto sound bite lovers basically admitted in the end they didn't know a damn thing about the treaty, but were for it anyway. After we educated them, they didn't even have the decency to thank us. :) Have a good night Tom, turning in early.... Mike p.s.
