Hi Steve, Thanks for the response. I agree that broad availability of video applications is still some time away, however, video transmission may be less taxing than some might think. The ability to digitally encode and decode video signals now permits broadcast quality video, compliant with the MPEG2 International Standards, to be transmitted via ADSL. As part of the encoding, only representative frames are actually transmitted. The decoding process "fills in" the frames in between those transmitted in a highly controlled process that meets the stringent MPEG2 standards.
