Thanks for the thoughtful response.

I may be misunderstanding the value of the SAN. It seems to me that banking, medical imaging and knowledge management would not be as compelling as something like the credit card business. Wouldn't the ability to process a VISA or Mastercard quickly be a reason for a SAN? Or is it primarily the data heavy graphics that require more throughput? Just trying to get an idea of when the second wave will crash the beach.
