I hope we can avoid a recession, but sometimes the only way dogma, religion and stupidity can be dispelled is by things that hurt. Changing peoples behaviour and beliefs is extremely difficult, and takes a long time. A lot of people are hurting, but the ones that make decisions and have their fingers in our purses and wallets are not,....yet. The cities carry the most weight in terms of votes, money and population. They will have to start hurting before permanent change can occur throughout Canada. If a revolution can occur, it appears it will have to start in Alberta and Northern parts of our provinces and territories.
