It is the cool light of reason that always informs my views. For example, I can prove that it is still undetermined as to whether Bush got the most votes in Florida. (That one is real easy...The margin of victory was 537 votes, which is less than 0.00922 % of the votes cast. This is well within the margin of error of the counting apparatus. So unless a series of successive recounts were to be employed, the actual winner will forever remain unknowable. Florida's vote was, statistically, a tie. As the press is generally innumerate, this significant truth was rarely reported or understood. )

Actually, I'm also something of a teacher. I can always spot the need for some continuing education... villagevoice.com
